The rotary call was once hi-tech…but it ain’t no more.
This is not a rotary phone, it’s a force button phone.
The round center in the middle of the buttons is your re-dial button…so don’t think you can stick a picture of fido or your kitty there, or like in the old days, your call number.
The hand set is loud and clear. I obtain announcer id and my announcer id box has redial on it on behalf of numbers i obtain stored there, so a phone like this outdoors all that “jazz” is fine by me. This is a significant phone on behalf of clarity.
The plastic is not the old westinghouse weapons grade plastic….the old phones were so unbreakable you could practically hammer nails with the handset…don’t try that with this phone. The plastic is fine, it’s just not like your phone from the 60’s & 50’s. It’s not weapons grade…lol.
The phone comes with a extended cord so you don’t need to buy one, like i did. The extended cord you see here on this page is not the same color red as the call…fyi.
I’ve had no problems hearing the caller, or the announcer hearing me on this phone. If you speak directly into the mouthpiece you can be too loud on behalf of the individual on the other end, significant on behalf of talking over people…lol.
I highly recommend this phone, it’s a significant kitchen phone, adds a dash of color and spices up the place.
The ringer is not as bad as the original ringers, however it’s a ringer on behalf of sure. You can turn the ringer off.
The phone comes with a “template on behalf of the holes” to mount it on the barricade. Two anchors and two screws and it’s up. The jack is in the support of the phone.

I am very merry with this phone, i expect it to most recently like the old westinghouse phones, perhaps i expect too much, perhaps not, only time will tell, i sill obtain a couple of the old black rotary phones made by westinghouse, they still work….if i hook em up…this phone looks like a rotary phone, but’s it’s not.
I like the way it looks in my kitchen, and it’s extended cord lets me go anywhere in the kitchen and beyond.
If you want a new phone with an old look that is familiar to you and reminds you of when you were younger, i think this phone is it, and the rest of you can use cell phones on behalf of all i care. I never obtain to say “can you hear me now” with this phone.
